BRL-CAD (Org ID 4884012200361984) Task ID 6671206518882304 | Task Definition ID 4779685842518016 Max instances: 3 Title: Create EHY objects, showcase variety, part #1 of 2 Description: BRL-CAD supports a lot of different objects, one of them being the EHY object type. The goal of this task is to create a variety of ehy objects in MGED or Archer that demonstrate the range of possibilities. You'll need to have BRL-CAD installed (there is a task for that) and you'll need to know how to use BRL-CAD (see tutorial tasks for that) to create geometry. Create EHY using the 'make' command (if implemented) to get a sense of what they look like. Create EHY using the 'in' command which has in interactive mode where it will prompt for input values. Using the 'in' comand, learn how to create a variety of ehy objects that showcase each of the object's most interesting parameters. For example, for the ELL primitive, I might create a sphere, a flattened disc, and an ellipsoid with one vector twice as long as the other so it's a rounded pill shape. Keep track of the commads you used to create geometry. Hitting the up-arrow in mged after running commands along with 'kill' to delete objects that aren't interesting will save you time. Model ALL objects centered near the origin (overlapping is okay, draw them individually) and as close as possible to filling a 1meter x 1metere x 1meter volume (run view size or 'bb' command to check). **SUBMIT** your list of object creation commands, at least one rendering (at az/el 35/25) for each object if it renders or wireframe screenshot if it does not, and your resulting .g file.
