Animate our logo! #2BRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete:
100 hrs
Mentors: Gauravjeet Singh, Dishank
We have a logo inspired by interlocked nodes (like a bike chain). We'd like to see some concepts of how it might be animated. Use your creativity and make something we can either use on our website, or maybe even use as a "loading..." or progress bar animation.
Create 2D or 3D animated version of our logo. Submit an animated gif preview as well as any raw higher-resolution working files you used.

I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to VeskoD. You have 100 hours to complete this task, good luck!
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
I'm thinking you misread which task you were completing. You are supposed to submit an animation using the logo, not a rendering of the logo in BRL-CAD.
Good luck!

VeskoD,
What is an AEP file? Is that an Adobe Aftereffects file format? If so, that'll work as a raw working format, but we'll still also need an animated gif and/or some other common animation format (avi, mpg, etc) so we can see what it looks like.
yes, it is Adobe Aftereffects file format, i think i should do it that way.. so what do you want actually ? It works fine.
Export this .aep file to .gif format, and upload it here.
As by this mentors who don't have this software (like me) can also review your work.

VeskoD,
Bouncing our logo around a box is not what we had in mind. As the task description says, we're looking for something we can use on our website or in our application as a loading or busy indicator. Notice how our logo looks like links of a chain, like on a bicycle. We're hoping to see the links themselves be animated.

it looks better now. ;)
Melange has detected that the deadline has passed and no more work can be submitted. The submitted work should be reviewed.
The deadline of the task has been extended with 2 days and 2 hours.
VeskoD, I'm not sure what I'm even looking at in that animated gif... I don't see how it incorporates our logo. It kind of sort of looks like our logo massively distorted and blended with a loading progress bar... but not really.
Here's some examples of what was meant by animating our logo such that it looks like a progress bar:

Given our logo looks like a two interlocked chain link nodes, I kind of envisioned animations where the links are spinning around or additional links are getting added and removed while shifting, giving the impression of movement.

I have uploaded the following two files-
Animation 2.xcf/.png
Is it possible to make it continuously moving without the short stops?

Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
I found a mistake in my work and have uploaded a new file with corrections in the task - Design Coreinterface logo #10 (https://www.google-melange.com/gci/task/view/google/gci2014/5880415785058304)
