Animate our logo! #3BRL-CAD

We have a logo inspired by interlocked nodes (like a bike chain). We'd like to see some concepts of how it might be animated. Use your creativity and make something we can either use on our website, or maybe even use as a "loading..." or progress bar animation.
Create 2D or 3D animated version of our logo. Submit an animated gif preview as well as any raw higher-resolution working files you used.

You're on the right track! The backgrounds is definitely a nice touch but try and come up with something more than simply moving the logo across the screen. You could for example make a loading animation by adding the "Loading..." text and having the logo or the text go through some kind of transformation that portrays the progress. You could initially have the logo completely saturated and as the animation advances make it become more colorised.
Be creative and find something which fits in well with the website.
