Design a new website favicon!BRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete:
100 hrs
Mentors: Kesha Shah, Daniel_R
This task is pretty simple: design our favicon!
You can use our logo or come up with some other CAD-relevant iconography that is visually interesting and understandable. You MUST HAVE ATTENTION TO DETAIL with this task.
Aliasing artifacts, fuzzy scaled images, and ugly designs will not be acceptable. ;) The icon must work especially well at 16x16 but may be in other/multiple sizes too.
Bonus points appeal if you base your work on something rendered with BRL-CAD, but this is not necessary.

I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Marc Tannous. You have 100 hours to complete this task, good luck!
Saw that most people were just using brl-cad's logo as a favicon, wanted to submit a simple animation in case you wanted something different :D
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
Marc, while I do appreciate different, there are / were some technical problems with this animation .. the clarity of the circles is lost (they're *really* chunky) and the animation skips near the end of the loop (not smooth animation). It also seems to animate outside of the canvas so part of the logo is lost. In brief, looks fine, but would need more work to be usable.
The "chunkiness" and loss of clarity comes from it being 16x16.
Don't know why it skips at the end, seems smooth on my side.
Animation "outside the canvas" comes from the logo not being symmetrical on the horizontal axis, one side being just a little bit bigger than the other one.
All these issues can be fixed if I could do this at a higher resolution. Would submitting a 128x128 be okay?
