BRL-CAD wants to encourage new developers and give credit to existing ones. A page on the wesbsite that gives details on the core contributors can help new developers learn the community and encouraging their participation.
We are interested in seeing concepts for what this page will look like. Concepts should be consistent with our existing (new) website design which you can see at http://cpp-tricks.com/brlcad/ or http://beta.brlcad.org/wp/
The task is to design a web based hall of fame where we'll be able to itemize each core developer with biographic information (e.g., their name, IRC nick and types of contributions they've made).
You may use any language or technology, (e.g., HTML+CSS, Javascript, WP plugin, etc), but a working webpage mockup is preferred. Submit your design in a raw editable form. Include a PNG screenshot of the design along with your editable files.

I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Zenon. You have 100 hours to complete this task, good luck!
As I do not have the icons for the links (at the top of the website), could I snip a portion of it for the submission?
Sure, you can snip a portion of it. I added the source files to dropbox, you can find the icons under images icons:

Dear Mentors,
Is it required to make the submission interact with the screen size of the viewing device?
Thank You
Short answer: No.
I believe the webpage responsiveness to different screen size is not a priority right now. We may focus on that once the concept is finished.
Thank you

Zenon, this is looking good, but results in a blank page in Safari (rather, it just showed the menu, no body text). Can you investigate?
I was able to view the page with Chrome, so presumably there's a syntax or css error or something defaulting to off that needs to be made visible.
Also, our AUTHORS file is a massive long list because that's the layout that works best with an ascii text file. Do you think you can come up with a better layout for a web page? Multiple columns, colors, staggered, etc, several ideas come to mind. Let the creative juices flow. ;)

Dear Mentors,
I have submitted the version 1.1 of the website. Attached too are the screenshots for Chrome and Firefox. I have made it into a two columns and fixed a few bugs linked to the error in viewing in Firefox, it could also be due to the an outdated Firefox client.
Thank You.
Regards,
Zenon
Hey Zenon,
You have done a great job. Your hard-work is clearly visible. Hope you enjoyed it but there are certain mistakes

Hi Aditya,
Thanks for your design. This is certainly a different design. This is not so much a technical concern, but since there's not much else left of the design, the main feedback I have is that images that large are not of interest to our project. Plenty of our contributors are not going to want to submit images of themselves that large. For many/most contributors, we won't even have an image, and we won't want a page filled with huge generic icons representing people.

Sir,
I Have Decreased The Size Of The Images And Given One Example Of A Person Without An Image.
Hope You Like My Files.
Regards,
Aditya.
Sir,
I have finished making another task but am afraid that someone else might take it. So if you could review this task early, I would be really greatful.
Regards,
Aditya
Aditya,
Images are still the focus of your design. As Sean mentioned, most of the contributors won't even want to have an image. I suggest you pinpoint their name, maybe a short description and contact information instead of displaying their photo. Or you could keep the photos, but make sure to make them smaller and have the name and description there as well.

Hi Aditya,
The comments of Sean and Mihai are still valid and you are expected to read them carefully and act accordingly. Don't be in hurry, put sincere efforts and make changes as instructed by mentors.
Good luck!

Sir,
I Have Actually Removed The Need Of Pictures.
If You Click The Name, A Contribution Page Opens. I Think You Didn't Click. Just The Hovering Is Not The Case.

Aditya

Aditya,
You have done quite a lot of work so far, but you haven't applied Mihai Neacsu's feedback yet :)
Here are some detailed observations:
-the background color is too dark, it makes looking at the page difficult/tiring
- I suggest you use some sort of banner or header of some sort, the first part of the website looks empty
- the images are too large, you should shrink them to a reasonable size(you could try the size of a facebook profile pic, on a profile(small square)
- you should list some details like name, area of activity or some sort of description(you can use lorem ipsum for text generation)
Cheers,
Andrei
