Design a new website favicon! #9BRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete:
100 hrs
Mentors: Deepak, Sean
This task is pretty simple: design our favicon!
You can use our logo or come up with some other CAD-relevant iconography that is visually interesting and understandable. You MUST HAVE ATTENTION TO DETAIL with this task.
Aliasing artifacts, fuzzy scaled images, and ugly designs will not be acceptable. ;) The icon must work especially well at 16x16 but may be in other/multiple sizes too.
Bonus points appeal if you base your work on something rendered with BRL-CAD, but this is not necessary.

The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
Yash, where did you get that version of our logo in 3D and what did you use to render the animation frames?
Note that there are other animation tasks and a different version of our logo interlocked that would be even more suitable for animation at http://brlcad.org/gci/logo as well as several tasks related to improving that model, making a better render from it, and creating a proper logo press kit. These may all be of interest to you. ;)
I made that with Photoshop CS6 Extended's 3D tool. It was rendered in Photoshop too.
I felt that in a size of 16 x 16, something like moving nodes would just not fit. So I made this.
I will also check the other tasks as suggested.
