Design a website icon set for brlcad.org #3BRL-CAD

We have an ugly old site at http://brlcad.org and a new one being put together at http://beta.brlcad.org/wp but we don't have good icons.
Define a set of useful icons that we might want to use on the main page (e.g., on the top menu). Submit the icons in a raw editable format (e.g., PSD or XCF) as well as an overview of them all in PNG format.
The icons should be scalable at least from 16x16 through 128x128 while maintaining a clean appearance.

Nice try ProgrammingLuko but I guess you can do better. The colors are bit dull and the strokes are not so smooth.
Just to get the creative juices going, google for flat , long shadow icons.

You are making great efforts, but still it needs improvement. Increase the smoothness of strokes. Colors look fine, but it's too dark. Try to use lighter shades so that it goes with the theme.

Just change the blog icon, it should be image that depicts blog instead of blog written as icon.
