I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Andromeda Galaxy. You have 100 hours to complete this task, good luck!
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
This is the clearest set of images that I could find that visualizes the individual bundles well; gnuplot can generate interactive 3d graphs from the data outputted by visualize_ray_bundles.c as well. Also, this set does include the visualizations for the rt_gen_conic() that I implemented for https://www.google-melange.com/gci/task/view/google/gci2014/5874710239772672.
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
This is ... yeah, just awesome! I think the ascii art depictions are possible (heck, you could always visualize in 3D and pass an image through taag or picascii), but this is a perfectly sufficient starting point for the ones that are more easily visualized. The side view comparisons you show are excellent for understanding the sampling artifacts that might become involved depending on the geometry and sampling purpose. All in all, excellent work that we'll definitely be putting to good use!
