BRL-CAD got a relatively new logo. The website is undergoing major changes. So this re-branding of BRL-CAD also requires a good, well designed and attractive cover photo for the BRL-CAD's Facebook page and other social media facades. It should feature a good tagline (our official is "open source solid modeling") or showcase some killer feature of BRL-CAD, BRL-CAD's new logo and/or some illustration/image regarding the feature highlighted.
It should be consistent with the color scheme of our new website design. Please avoid a military-centric theme.

Submit one image of the banner image by itself and another example mock-up image showing how it will look on our Facebook page. Any image format will do just fine.

Hi, would you mind reserving this task for me first? I already signed up for another task but I really want to continue on this project as well. I'm sorry for the inconveniences, but I will do my best to complete both asap!
There is no rush. There are other tasks and we can create more if needed.
I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Pulkit Mehta. You have 72 hours to complete this task, good luck!

Pulkit, the amount of effort involved in your design is rather lacking. It looks like something you hastily drew without much attempt at making something asthetically appealing. You took our logo image and overlayed a bulleted list and our byline text. The list isn't even level, rotated slightly. It looks there's no regard for our color scheme as well because you only use one color other than black, a magenta that is not part of our color scheme.
Your expected to spend a few hours *designing* something interesting, impressive, beautiful. Please try again. It might help you to sketch out a design on paper first, then scan that it.
Note that our official name is "BRL-CAD", not Brl-Cad or BRLCad or BrlCAD or Brl-CAD etc.
One of the mentors has sent this task back for more work. Talk to the mentor(s) assigned to this task to satisfy the requirements needed to complete this task, submit your work again and mark the task as complete once you re-submit your work.
No Problem sir i will try again
actually that BRL-CAD was just for a sample. Facebook was not accepting the title in capitals so..... dosen't matter i will try again..
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
sir,
i hope you like it this time.
It looks you put your effort but design still lacks creativity and an impressive look. The images you used are taken from the Internet and we are not aware about their license. I recommend to use BRL-CAD's own images (http://brlcad.org/gallery/) or images with open licensing terms as there would be no such problem.
As suggested by Sean, please spend few hours on thinking about the design and start making on paper rather directly on computer.
Best of luck!

This time i worked very hard and i hope atleast this time it will do .
I have searched every possible mistakes and reformed it keeping in mind "creativity" etc.
I hope this would be nice than behore. :)

Looking okay, but there are several issues remaining:
1) There needs to be a "-" between the BRL and the CAD portion of our name in the top-left corner.
2) The shadow under Open Source and Solid Modeling are inconsistent, distracting.
3) There are five odd gray areas underneath the 3D logo on the right side. Presumably because you cut it out of our image, but you missed several spots.
4) Red bullet text over red background text is extremely cluttered.
5) The "rope lines" on the pseudo handing sign are not symmetric.
6) The black bars down the side reach the bottom inconsistently.
We're a graphics package. We cannot have such simple graphics errors.
Those are the critical issues, but there are others. The design is overly simplistic. It's not at all "impressive". The checkmarks are silly. The 1979 and military bullet are weak/distracting. The "erased" circles on the background are pointless.
The deadline of the task has been extended with 1 days and 0 hours.

The background image is not accetable. There's a question of image rights (what license is it?) and more imporantly, it has nothing to do with BRL-CAD. I suggest sticking to simple geometric shapes, simple/few colors, minimal words.

Melange has detected that the deadline has passed and no more work can be submitted. The submitted work should be reviewed.
Pulkit, this latest design is much better. It's still not usable for the same reason as before -- i.e., where did the spark plug image come from? it's not a BRL-CAD model -- but you've fulfilled the spirit of technical goals of task Thank you for your efforts.
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
welcome
and as well as thank you sir for approving it as well
I really enjoyed doing ir.

Pulkit Mehta
