BRL-CAD got a relatively new logo. The website is undergoing major changes. So this re-branding of BRL-CAD also requires a good, well designed and attractive cover photo for the BRL-CAD's Facebook page and other social media facades. It should feature a good tagline (our official is "open source solid modeling") or showcase some killer feature of BRL-CAD, BRL-CAD's new logo and/or some illustration/image regarding the feature highlighted.
It should be consistent with the color scheme of our new website design. Please avoid a military-centric theme. Make it look impressive, awesome. Be simple, but be awesome.

Submit one image of the banner image by itself and another example mock-up image showing how it will look on our Facebook page. Any image format will do just fine.

I would like to work on this task.

I have made 3 in which cover1 is made according to the website but, cover2 and cover3 I just made it for fun, if you like it i can add more text to cover2 and cover3
I like the logo placement in cover1, love the font, but not digging the bullet list. Feels to me like there needs to be something subtle in the background, maybe the moose antler ears but so enlarged that you cannot tell that's what they are. Also, just as a matter of branding, the logo should be more faithful (white centers and the leftmost link in black / dark gray).
The other two are really interesting (love the wood one) and the font is nice, but I think the imagery needs to reflect BRL-CAD more directly (maybe if that wood background were actually modeled and rendered in BRL-CAD, for example). In light of that, I'd stick with your first one and just try to make it even more impressive, crisp.

Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
Like the textured update, looks a bit like a fabric. The moose examples you gave didn't work so well, but is something to keep thinking about. Maybe something even more simple geometrically. Either way, this task is complete. Thanks for your efforts!
