Create a New Year Greeting Card for BRL-CAD.BRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete:
72 hrs
Mentors: Kesha Shah
This task involves designing a greeting card for BRL-CAD, wishing Happy new Year. Make it look good, something you'd be proud to give to all of your friends and family. Look over some great sticker designs before starting to work on this. Simple is good. Using our formal (the three circles) or informal (moose antlers) logo is great.
There is no bound shape for the shape of the card. It can be rectangular, circular, or even irregular shaped. The only thing that matters is that it look really cool.

Submit your artwork in any file format, but ideally with transparency settings so we can print them properly. (png or psd work well). Give you name so we can credit you if you like as well.

This doesn't look like a greeting card. I suggest performing a Google search for greeting cards to get some ideas.
Also, the gradient makes the text very hard to read and the colors do not work. Remember that if you use artwork (of any kind), you must cite your sources.

Rishi, this still doesn't look like a card design we could use. It looks like you searched the web for some stock template and added the words BRL-CAD on the bottom. That is not designing. That's not even proper attribution of sources.
It's plagiarism to submit work as yours without citing your sources. If you used a design from the web, you need to say that and note where it came from.
Please try to create an original design that is only inspired by other designs you find. Don't just copy someone else's design and put the BRL-CAD name and logo on it. You're supposed to create a design.
You're welcome to try again, but I'm concerned that you don't understand what is expected. If you have specific questions that will help you understand, I'll try my best to answer them.
