This task involves designing a BRL-CAD sticker. Make it look good, something you'd be proud to give to all of your friends and family, something you'd put on your laptop or phone case. Look over some great sticker designs before starting to work on this, including the other completed GCI sticker designs by others.
Simple is good. Using our formal (the three circles) or informal (moose antlers) logo is great. Please avoid any military theme (no tanks!), do not use our old eagle logo, but do put a dash in BRL-CAD. If you use the three circle gear logo, the centers should be white and it must be 300dpi high quality -- use one of the vector versions submitted as a GCI task here or search around for one.
There is no bound shape for the shape of the sticker. It can be rectangular, circular, or even irregular shaped. The only thing that matters is that it look really cool.

Submit your artwork in any file format, but with transparency or dimension settings so we can print them properly. (png, xcf, or psd work well). Give your name so we can credit you if you like as well and join our brlcad-news mailing list to hear if we use your sticker design.
Make it look awesome. LOOK at some of the completed ones and make yours look even better. :-)

I would like to work on this task.
This task has been assigned to Rishi Sharma. You have 168 hours to complete this task, good luck!
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
I want to inform you that i have uploaded an animated .gif file.
You can see animation by simply opening the file in internet explorer or dragging and droping the file in a new tab of Chrome, or by any other means.
This animation I kept it simple in a black white theme by not giving the logo.
I appriciate your efforts but you have to design a sticker for BRL-CAD. You can use given logos, use your imagination and create impressive design.

Can I give that animation in "facebook banner" task ?
Yes you can design banner in that task.
I'm waiting for review.
You have to be more creative. Have a look at closed tasks for sticker for an idea.

Rishi, the design needs to be clean. Also, while the animation is cute, I don't think it'd be appropriate for the facebook image design (and certainly not for a sticker design). Animation needs to serve some useful purpose, not just delay the delivery of information. You can certainly claim one of those design tasks and work onc creating something there as well, though, assuming any tasks are remaining.
i didn't get you .can you explain which tasks are you talking about ???

Rishi, you can go to our main page:
http://www.google-melange.com/gci/org/google/gci2013/brlcad
Go to the completed tasks section at the bottom.
Type "design" into the title or keywords section.
Look at *several* of the other completed sticker tasks to get an idea of what is expected.
Your design needs to be at least as good as the others.

This design heavily borrows from another design, but still with numerous flaws too. The bad outline around the logo. The bad gray section between the black and red gear sections. The squished text. The uninspired simple gray background. I think it's time to call it and try a different task.
Given you already claimed and completed another sticker design task, please try something else. You're only supposed to complete one of each type of design task so others can have a chance at them too.

Marie, this is interesting (similar to the book design obviously) but the gradient is a problem. Many sticker printers cannot easily print a gradient or will not print one well. They often recommend a fixed number of colors. Try a design with less than 10 distinct colors in addition to black and white.
The rest of the design looks okay, but I think there's room for improvement. Some comments on things I see:

Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
Very cute, I really like them. I'm not sure we can get a printer to do the "holes" in the one sticker, but I think it looks best. Would be neat to find some way to tie it into 3D, like a brick tessellation that turns into a moose, but it's nice just as a mascot too.
Sticker is better than previous one but it would be more better if you change moose image with some relevant eye catchy 3D model that better describe BRL-CAD features.
