Mock up new BRL-CAD website interface design (#3)BRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete: 72 hrs Mentors: SeanTags: web design, php, css, html, photoshop, gimp

BRL-CAD's main website needs a facelift.  Design a new website interface mock-up.  Emphasize the look and feel of the site with a carefully thought out layout and graphical appeal.

You're welcome to create your own concept artwork, put boxes saying "logo goes here", or use our new logos:

  • http://brlcad.org/images/logo  (just don't use the old eagle logo)
You can submit an image, photoshop files, working html files, or even a pen and paper sketch (but it better be impressive and complete).

If we like your design, a follow-up task may be posted to turn your design into a proper drupal and/or mediawiki theme (so you may want to demo the design in CSS anyways).

Here are some examples of other open source project websites that are relevant:

You may want to look at what some other students have already submitted as there are multiple website design tasks.

I just have forgotten to add some social network buttons on the web design

This is a new file with social network buttons.

Harmanpreet Singh on December 24 2012 16:48 UTCNice Work

Gauravjeet, your work is appreiable. :) Addition of buttons of social networking sites is new feature for the  BRL-CAD website. But you forgot to add Login/Register link. Put it to some proper place and you are done. :)

Adjust the search bar and Login/Register button in the header within the boundaries of central part. Create a footer and put links of social networking sites in it. That's it.
