Migrate ALL our MySQL databasesBRL-CAD
Status: ClosedTime to complete:
48 hrs
Mentors: Sean
This task involves performing a database migration for a couple dozen MySQL databases from one server to another. You'll need to not only perform the migration, but write a script or keep a detailed log of all commands you run so that the databases can be migrated again should they need to be.
Coordinate with 'brlcad' on IRC for access. This task may only be claimed by students that completed another GCI web tasks that established SSH access.
This is a follow-on to this previous GCI task:

The databases are already migrated. It took longer to run than I thought it would, and mysqld had to be started.

Run mysqltransfer.sh with a text file with database names one per line as the first argument. Edit the script to change the remote host or password.
The work on this task is ready to be reviewed.
Congratulations, this task has been completed successfully.
