The BRL-CAD website is in need of a design overhaul. This task involves writing up a brief article soliciting new contributor(s) to work on designing a new website. The article needs to be detailed and specific to our particular website requirements (Drupal+Mediawiki+CSS) to ensure the contributor can design the appropriate stylesheet(s), updated graphics, and new layout. I would like to work on this task.
From what I can understand from the task, I have to an article to entice web developers to work on designing a new website for BRL-CAD and include some details, which I presume I am to think of, in order to fulfill the task requirements. Is there anything that I have missed?

hopefully you won't leave words like "write" out when you write it, but yes. ;)
we need a new website and our current one is drupal and mediawiki and a custom css theme that makes them both look the same. we'd like a new website that is similarly structured but has a more modern look and feel to it.
the article should solicit an open source contributor to step up and work on it, possibly continue to be the site maintainer after it's set up and running. some stats that might help entice someone are that our site has a huge visitor count. we get more than a million website visitors a year, more than 100000 downloads a month. that's a huge portfolio for anyone's resumé.
When you mention that the article must contain an image, can the image be the BRL-CAD logo (I refer to the one at http://brlcad.org/images/angelov_256.png) or should it be something else?
it can be the logo or some image representing brl-cad or some other image representing website design.
