NMG_MAKE_V(nged)

NAME

nmg_make_v - create one or more vertices in an NMG solid

On this page

SYNOPSIS

nmg_make_v nmg_name V x0 y0 z0 [x1 y1 z1 ...]

DESCRIPTION

The nmg_make_v command creates one or more new vertices in the NMG solid nmg_name. The literal token V must appear as the second argument. Each group of three coordinate values defines the model-space location of one new vertex. At least one vertex (three coordinate values) must be provided. Additional vertices may be specified in the same call. The total number of coordinate values must be a multiple of 3.

New vertices created with nmg_make_v exist as free (unconnected) vertices in the NMG model until they are incorporated into edges and faces.

The nmg_make_v command is the standalone form of the nmg <object> make V subcommand.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Create a single vertex

mged> nmg_make_v my_nmg.s V 10 20 30

Creates a new vertex at model point (10, 20, 30) in my_nmg.s.

Example 2. Create multiple vertices at once

mged> nmg_make_v my_nmg.s V 0 0 0 50 0 0 50 50 0

Creates three new vertices at (0,0,0), (50,0,0), and (50,50,0) in one command.
