SYNOPSIS

form type

DESCRIPTION

The form command returns the argument format (the "form" or syntax) required to create or edit a specific BRL-CAD geometric object type.

The type argument can be any valid geometric primitive type recognized by BRL-CAD (e.g., arb8, sph, tor, tgc, bot, etc.). The command queries the internal geometry function table (rt_get_functab_by_label) to determine the expected structure for the given primitive type.

EXAMPLES

Example 1. Query the format for a Sphere (sph)

mged> form sph

Returns the expected arguments and syntax needed to define a sphere primitive.
