Creating animations using BRL-CAD is currently a very manual and tricky process. A GUI editor to create Bezier splines for moving objects, lights and the camera and generating rt scripts as well as a "create animation" functionality to render all the frames and build them into a single animation file would greatly streamline the process. The lightwave scene editor may be a good example.
